Registration Information:

Registration is open Monday, October 3 beginning at 9:00 am. Online registration can be completed here. Groups are considered registered upon receipt of payment. There will be no refunds for withdrawals. 

The early-bird registration cost, for registrations before January 15, 2023, is $375 per ensemble, with optional post-performance clinic for an additional $225 per ensemble. After January 15th, 2023 the prices increase to $400 and $250 per ensemble respectively. 

After you complete your registration, you will be contacted with your ensembles’ registration numbers. Please keep these numbers in your records as they will be used in a follow-up registration form which will be sent closer to the festival. This follow-up form will ask for detailed information about your ensemble(s) including: exact # of performers, specific repertoire, group bios, etc. 

Festival Experience

Ensembles will perform on stage in 30-minute blocks, which includes both performance and adjudication time. Ensembles may opt to take part in a one-hour post-performance clinic with their adjudicator for an additional fee. 

As always, festival-goers will have the opportunity to explore the various venues across campus and listen to their peers perform. Workshops and masterclasses will be offered throughout the day and are open to all festival-goers. 


Group photos of your jazz ensemble will be available at the 2023 Brandon University Jazz Festival! Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to provide original scores? Yes, all scores used during the festival must be originals. 
Do we have to bring our own amps / other equipment? A keyboard, drumset, vibraphones (if necessary) and amplifiers will be available at each venue. Performers are responsible for bringing their own cymbals, patch cords, aux. percussion. etc. If you have any questions about equipment, please contact
Can we eat on campus? Please contact BU Food Services for information about dining in Harvest Hall.
Can we get a refund if we have to cancel? There will be no refunds once payment has been processed.
